(Karlsruhe, 31.08.2016) Commercial enterprises as well as process industries such as food manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies are in many cases still hampered by significant weaknesses when it comes to integrating procurement and administration processes. In light of this, e-commerce specialist Poet and software and consulting firm cormeta have come up with a strategic alliance. Both companies are SAP partners and complement one another perfectly in their range of services. Their first common client projects are already underway.

As a specialist in strategy and technology, cormeta ag implements pre-configured SAP-based industry solutions for various market segments in trade and wholesale, and offers comprehensive process expertise and product know-how within the SAP range. Poet, on the other hand, is geared towards solutions for buying and selling processes, its key focus being on SAP CRM/Hybris Cloud for Customer, SAP Hybris Commerce and SAP Hybris Marketing.

"Given our similar market orientation and complementary fields of specialization, we are able to offer comprehensive solutions that provide considerable added value to trade and process industry companies," explains Poet CEO Gerlinde Wiest-Gümbel of the benefits of such a partnership.  Working with cormeta also underlines POET's strategy to stimulate its dynamic growth process even further by means of competence-based partnerships. "Systematic networking with an industry-oriented focus is an essential element of our ambitious growth strategy."

"This partnership enables us to enrich our SAP industry solutions to become a fully integrated e-commerce landscape," adds cormeta director Holger Behrens. "Clients benefit from the seamless interplay between innovative company software and modern omni-channel solutions," he continues. "Our collaboration is yet another building block on the path to providing competent client support in the age of digitalization."

The partnership is also reflected in a number of joint events. For example, a lecture with client Ringfoto is being held at the SAP and Partner Information Day for associated groups in Walldorf on 07 September 2016. It will focus on integration solutions including SAP S/4HANA, TRADEsprint and SAP Hybris. In addition, a Commerce Day will be held in Frankfurt on 27 September 2016.
